We got some snow in the 4k+ elevations the other day, just as the family and I were taking a drive through Joshua Tree National Park and doing some scrambling, after my morning "scrunbling" trip. Pretty amazing to see how quick things went from brown to white!
I have to admit, I do miss the snow...
I always enjoy the stillness that seems to accompany a fresh snow fall, even if just a light one. It seems as though everything seems to slow down, and everything becomes more relaxed. I dare say, even with the required freezing temperatures that come with the snow, it seems to make the whole environment warmer, if perhaps on an emotional scale rather than a scientific one.
